ABOUT ME

Marisa Abate, born in Cleveland, Ohio, has spent most of her life as a resident of Charlotte, North Carolina. Inspired by fairytales and movies, she creates stories and beautiful worlds into which people can submerge themselves. As a student at UNC Charlotte, she pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Digital Media. Amongst all the subjects she has been taught, she is most happy when animating a story, while also loving to create installations with which people can interact. In her most recent work, she is merging those two loves to create an immersive moment in which all can partake.
